The ‘Enhancing “whole of island’’ approach to strengthen community resilience to climate and disaster risks in Kiribati project’ is a five (5) year funded project by the Global Environment Facility Trust Fund (GEF) through United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and implemented by the Office of the Beretitenti (OB). It aims to address the exacerbation of climate change on coastal infrastructure, water security and food security by increasing community resilience to the impacts of climate change, climate variability and disasters and building capacities at national and island levels. Under this project the OB is seeking to recruit suitable qualified national for the following position: –
- Position: Kiribati LDCF Finance and Procurement Officer
Government Contract Type: TBC by UNDP and OB
Position brief responsibility: He/She will ensure that the maintenance of the project financial systems is in accordance with the finance policies and procedures, and provision of timely and accurate financial reports to the Republic of Kiribati government and UNDP.
Basic Requirements:
• A degree in finance /administration/management
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in demonstrated administrative function
